Omid Djalili on the Baha'is in Iran

This video, regarding the current situation of the Baha'is in Iran and the imprisonment of their leaders, was just released by the well known British comedian Omid Djalili. It speaks clearly and pointedly to the current dire situation and is indeed worth viewing:

  1. We're coming up on the anniversary of Abdu'l-Baha's sudden departure from Haifa to the West.....
    (citations and more info)

`Abdu'l-Bahá left Haifa for Port Said, Egypt, about August 29, 1910. He accompanied two visitors or pilgrims directly from the Shrine of the Báb down to the port where he took a ferry to Port Said and then telegrammed the Bahá'ís in Haifa that He was in Egypt. Shoghi Effendi was asked to come over 2 days later.

What are you going to do August 29th?

  2. Check out this moving article, written by a woman who was imprisoned with Mahvash Sabet and Fariba Kamalabadi, in the same cell with them for several weeks. I pray so much that these beautiful-spirited women and men will have a happy ending to their story!

  3. Bilo, you haven't been keeping your wonderful blog up to date with posts about the Baha'is of Iran. Maybe you need to have 2 separate blogs, one about Iran and one about Egypt. Events in Iran are going to be part of the great turning point of history. God loves you and so do Baha'is everywhere.

  4. Iranian Baha'i author and refugee, Rosa Vasseghi has been making internet posts about the plight of her sister Rosita Vasseghi who has been unjustly sentenced to 5 years in prison with other Baha'is in Mashhad, Iran. I hope so much that someone will pay attention and help these Baha'is.

  5. Sorry, I have been on long distance travel recently and had very limited acess to the Internet. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I should be able to keep up.
