I thank you very much for your blog (http://bahai-egypt.blogspot.com/) as I have been wanting to learn more of the basics of the history of the Baha’i Faith in Egypt and to see illustrations on the subject. Through the e-mail messages circulated from overseas regarding the development of the situation of the Baha’is in Egypt and the Persecution page of the Baha’i International News Service (BINS), I have been watching the situation.

A few of us are trying to provide the important information in our own language, Japanese, to the dear friends in Japan. Please keep up the good work and consider your audience in a place which you probably think the furthest away from you on earth. I understand you live outside Egypt. I am wondering where you live. My guess is the United States.

On a personal note, I happen to be very interested in different cultures and languages including that of Muslim, Middle Eastern, and Arab. Studied the difficult book of the Holy Qur-an after becoming a Baha’i through its interpretations provided in Japanese and English and guidebooks. I memorized the Surat-l Fatiha in Arabic. Love the exotic sound of the language. Learned the Arabic and Persian alphabets and some Islamic and
Baha’i phrases in Arabic. I wish there were Baha’is who speak Arabic close to where I live. Traveled to Egypt only for about a day on transit to Haifa and two Gulf countries for, I think, two weeks once.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
