Iran has been found noncompliant with numerous international treaties and covenants, as well as its own constitution. As to Baha'is, they are not given the right to due legal process and are held in prison for months without charge. The compulsion that drove you to write such an unintelligent and inflammatory statement is the very same that is isolating Iran from the rest of the civilized world. You are much alone in your ignorance.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29145551.post-65467418857883336972008-09-12T19:21:00.000-04:002008-09-12T19:21:00.000-04:00It is wonderful that a forum like this one let’s e...It is wonderful that a forum like this one let’s everyone express their opinion. However it is a lot more interesting for all concerned when opinions are backed by solid proof. For example anonymous above, you state that Baha’is are anti-Iranian and a danger to Iran.
Let’s give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you might be right, still, these are pretty strong accusations and would need to be backed by facts that you have yourself witnessed or that you have learned from reliable source. If you don’t mind me asking: how many Baha’is do you know personally? Have you read anything in the Baha’i writings that would give ammunition to your position?
My own opinion of you, after reading your comment, is that you might be misguided. I back up my opinion by the fact that I am not a Baha’i but I have known many of them for the last 35 years and they don’t appear to me to be a threat to any country or anybody. I have read a lot of their religious writing and I don’t see anything there that is menacing. They advocate religious tolerance, is this what’s bothering you? Tell me anonymous: is your own faith so shaky in your heart that it can be threatened by someone else’s beliefs? I think that God is making each of us responsible for his/her soul alone and that is a tall order enough, let’s leave others to take care of their own in anyway they choose. Indeed, I would not want to have to defend the following statement: I did not behave very well in my life but I made sure my neighbor did…
Still anonymous, for the sake of a worthy argument, let’s hear your references.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29145551.post-78311583138457320032008-09-11T21:44:00.000-04:002008-09-11T21:44:00.000-04:00soroosh,Thanks for the link--hope to post it soon....soroosh,
Thanks for the link--hope to post it soon....Bilohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08060802520953738221noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29145551.post-48932683407353301912008-09-11T17:14:00.000-04:002008-09-11T17:14:00.000-04:00Another article from prominent Iranian-American hu...Another article from prominent Iranian-American human rights activist Reza Fani-Yazdi.

http://iranian.com/main/2008/if-i-were-shiiteUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15571897449932216171noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29145551.post-26783069679263047912008-09-11T11:03:00.000-04:002008-09-11T11:03:00.000-04:00Well Anonymous...Let's put the shoe on the other f...Well Anonymous...

Let's put the shoe on the other foot....

In my neighborhood there is this Mosque and I am on very friendly terms with the Person in charge of this Mosque...

And let’s suppose that another Neighbor suddenly takes exception to the existence of this mosque and Calls it a threat to the United States Because of the Event that occurred EXACTLY 7 years ago TODAY and then proceeds to follow your train of thinking and Attempts to use 100 pounds of explosives to destroy the Mosque....

Should I join him in destroying the Mosque...?

OR

Do I remind him that Jesus would not do that but love our Muslim Neighbors as any other American neighbor...

If I follow your example Mr. Anonymous.... that Mosque would not be standing...

Yet I follow the example of Jesus and Stop that neighbor from destroying the Mosque...Terryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13239978677582031477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29145551.post-13962519602115381042008-09-11T08:02:00.000-04:002008-09-11T08:02:00.000-04:00This is yet another example of what the Baha'is of...This is yet another example of what the Baha'is of Iran and Egypt have to deal with: false statements and baseless accusations that emerge from deep-rooted prejudice mouthed by uninformed and misguided individuals.
